PAVILION EXHIBITS - SECTION N: FLOWERS

Exhibits will be received by the stewards at the pavilion Thursday 13th March 2008, 4.00 -7.00pm or Friday 14th March, 8.00 - 10.00am.

CONDITIONS:

Flowers and Plants must be grown by the exhibitor.

Containers are supplied, except for SMALL FLAT displays

PLEASE READ THIS SCHEDULE BEFORE ENTERING

NOTE: 'Distinct' means different varieties. 'N.N.D.' means not necessarily distinct.

A 'vase' is a container supplied for staging flowers unless otherwise stated.

Standard unit is a vase of one variety.

Championships are awarded only to standard units.

Blooms and plants in all classes should be named.

STAGING REQUIREMENTS: DAHLIAS

All blooms 160 mm and over staged one per vase.

All blooms under 160 mm to be staged three per vase.

All dahlias are to be staged with a combined stalk and stem of 300 mm except Pom-pom, which may be 230 mm. in length with at least 160 mm protruding from the vase for all types.

Decorative and Cactus classes may include formal and informal types.

Measuring rings are available from the Stewards.
